Handmade Notepads

I always love carrying little notepads with me. I make it a point to always have one in my bag. And the idea of making handmade ones got me so excited. You will have the flexibility of making it the size you want, the image/s, the texts, and even the paper.

I made some sample pads, first using my clear stamps as a design. It's cute, but a little limited though, which all depends on the stamps that I have. So customization is minimal, especially when it comes to texts. Which made me decide that printing will give me all the power to do whatever I wanted to achieve.

So here it is, a glimpse of my handmade notepads. =)

Update: Julio's Baptism

Yes, it isn't done yet. =)

My pretty client added a couple more orders: a name banner and the invites. Lucky Baby Julio that he got this very kind and thoughtful Ninang to guide him throughout his life's journey.

I just finished the invite design and ready to print, will post the finished product later. And here by the way, are the photos of the name banner. As requested, felt cloth are used instead of cardstocks. I handstitched each letter and created 2 more layers as a background. I added animal shapes on both ends to still go with the Noah's Ark theme. A green silk ribbon ties all the characters together.

Project: Julio's Baptism

Ugh! It has been almost 2 weeks since my last post. I was suppose to post this last week, but as expected, laziness strike again. Sigh!

Anyway, I received an order in my Multiply site for Baby Julio's baptism. He is yet to see the world and a kind ninang was already busy doing the preparations. The theme was Noah's Ark, with yellow, green and orange as the theme colors. These are for cupcake toppers and tags. Here are the photos I took after the production:

My client was so happy when she got the items, telling me that everything were so cute! The reason why she ordered for a name banner. =)

Will keep you posted with the additional banner project. =)

Kirk & Yani's 11.11.11

After a full week of hard labor, I can finally say that it was worth it! =) Yes, Kirk & Yani finally tied knots last Friday.

Last week was a helluva ride. From purchasing last minute items to baking and frosting and boxing 100 cupcakes! Whew!  It was my first mass-produced cupcake order, a big leap from the usual 2-dozen boxes. And it was all a one-woman effort, I tell you. But a little help was contributed by my active 6-year old and a motivation from hubby. Thanks. Do I hear sarcasm?hehe.

I did chocolates cupcakes in violet buttercream frosting. We originally planned to have topper on each cuppies but since they are also using it as their giveaways, the individual box is not high enough. So I ended using the topper as a tag instead, over a violet organza ribbon.

So here it is, I am sharing to you the photos. My client texted me the day after the wedding that the cupcakes look elegant and tasted great(wink!).

Update: Kirk & Yani's Wedding Project

Just a little update with the project... after a very long, unproductive weekend. =)

I am halfway done with the cupcake wrappers and have started with the handmade envelopes. I did some print samples of the thank you cards and cupcake toppers/tags. Here it is:

I am hoping to finish everything by Monday, so let's see. =)

Project: Kirk & Yani's Wedding

I got a project for Kirk and Yani's wedding on November 11. Yep, it's 11-11-11. Cool. =)

A former officemate requested for me to do the cupcakes for her son's big day. I agreed and gave her some ideas. She decided to make it their giveaways, so it will be individually boxed with customized wrappers, ribbons and tags. And then she later decided to have 100 pieces. Yes I know, this is a one-man project, so help me God. =)

The wrappers will be more tedious as these are hand cut, so I figure to do these first. I immediately made a few wraps after I made the drafts, and here it is.

Yes, the wedding has violet-silver theme with the swirls. =)

And here are the drafts I made for the tags and the thanks you cards.

The mother of the groom, my client, was happy to see these, and that is really important.
What do you think? =)

Supplies

I finally got the second load of supplies last week. After waiting for 3 weeks!

I received the 4 boxes of tags, along with the clear stamps, inkpads, a puncher and a bone folder. I was so excited to try everything but doesn't have the time. Just to give you a sneak peek of what I should be doing with these, here is one. So you better stay tuned. =)

Project: Joice's 1st Bday

A good friend of mine asked if I can make the cupcakes for her niece's 1st birthday. I gladly said yes, and offered my paper crafts. She had a Disney Princess theme and of course, the color pink! =) So here it is...

The cupcake toppers.
The venue doesn't have a cake stand, so I got one and dressed it up a bit.

The souvenir tags.

I tried making cupcake wrappers, though it was not really part of the orders. Just thought to try it out.
And it looks so cute! =)

I am still waiting for my friend to send me the photos of the party. I will surely share it with you here. =)

My First Projects - cupcake toppers

These are two of the very first projects I did. The one on top was for a friend's 25th birthday, who happens to love dogs and the color green. The other one was a friend's daughter's 3rd, Rapunzel as her theme.

And oh, by the way, I also did the cupcakes for both of them. =)

Hello!

This is my first ever post on this blog. Excited and kind of overwhelmed. =)

Just to give you an overview, I will be sharing to you here all my crafts-related experience, successful or not.lol. I just started this crafts project after being inspired by a lot of handmade craft items I have seen when I was searching for a cupcake topper. If you want to know how everything started, read on...

I have been baking since 4 years ago, but not really professionally. I bake for family and friends, and sometimes sell goodies to my officemates. I had this cupcakes order from a friend who wanted to have a personalized 'happy birthday' decorated on the cuppies. So I searched for local suppliers and all I saw were the usual candy toppers. Personally, I am not a very big fan of sweets. So if you ask me, yes, I take out the sweet toppers and sometimes the frosting itself and just eat the cake. I am guilty of that. So while I was on a search frenzy, I came up with an artistic idea as an alternative to sweet toppers. Yes, paper toppers! I surely have seen these somewhere, so I went 'googling' for the next hour or so. And the whole idea was born... =)

So there you go. It started with cupcake toppers, and then everything else followed. And hope you too follow me through this journey. Later! =)
